Who am I?

​

I have been riding since I was 8 and paid to do it since I was 17. I grew up in Wisconsin, exercising polo ponies and running a boarding stable in my 20's.  Then I went to college because it turned out my Mom was right about it being hard to make a living in the horse business!  Eventually I realized you didn't actually have to live in a place where you had to do chores when it was -10

degrees out, so I packed up the car and headed for Los Angeles.

At the time, I just had my two oldest polo ponies in retirement board in Tennessee, so I lived at the beach and enjoyed the L.A. lifestyle for a while - managing a law firm in Santa Monica and going to spinning class with celebrities.  It didn't even take a year until I stumbled upon a skinny horse in need of a better home and, well, 24 years later, here I am with a farm in the Antelope Valley and 28 horses in my backyard!  I run Polo Pony Rescue, which focuses on retired, mostly elderly ex-polo ponies.
